From dullville to winter wonderland

About a week after our last post, we returned home from a trip to find the landscape had been completely transformed. The gorgeous, vibrant leaves were gone, leaving damp brown and gray branches in their place. Things got pretty depressing.

But as it turns out, the height of fall and the height of winter are just a couple weeks apart in Germany! Before long we experienced our first snowfall, and our view reverted to breathtaking:
